Miss Pakistan favorite at Miss Earth 2009

Ayesha Gilani, Miss Pakistan Earth 2009 is representing Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2009 pageant. After being crowned Miss Pakistan World in June 2009, Ayesha Gilani, 26 years old from Lahore, Pakistan has flown over to Manila, Philippines to represent Pakistan in the Miss Earth 2009 beauty pageant. This third largest pageant in the world attracts about 90 countries in its Earth friendly pageant. The girls prepare for different environmental projects and thus represent their land and mother earth. Miss Gilani, is the 7th Miss Pakistan to be crowned in Toronto, Canada, due to the unstable situation of Pakistan which prevents such events to be taking place. At 5 feet 7 inches, Ayesha Gilani, hopes to bring back something for Pakistan in the form of a winning title. Reviews on Gilani, state that she has a fresh face and can probably come in the top 18 rank. Some blogs have quoted saying that she may even come in the top 8. If pageant gurus are right then this will be a first for Pakistan. Pakistan is striving to achieve a title where it could take them to recognition in beauty pageants.
